ABOUT ME

My name is Samah Elbelazi. I am a Libyan Arts-based Researcher and Postdoctoral Scholar at the Program in Writing and Rhetoric/ Stanford University. Coming from an interdisciplinary background, having a Ph.D. in Composition and TESOL and a considerable knowledge in Islamic feminism. My teaching experience focuses on empowering students through their writing. In my class, I create a welcoming environment where all their writing is important. I believe students go through different challenges before they come to my class. In class, I try to make them feel at home by fostering various engaging activities and assignments that focus on promoting individuality and making connections between their writing across the curriculum
